Herrera Beutler Joins Legislative Effort to Expand Telehealth in Southwest Washington
Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-03) has cosponsored bipartisan, bicameral legislation in Congress, the Creating Opportunities Now for Necessary and Effective Care Technologies (CONNECT) for Health Act of 2021, to expand telehealth access for Southwest Washington seniors and resident who utilize Medicare.
“As our Southwest Washington communities battled COVID over the past year, it’s become increasingly evident that seniors, rural residents and others can be well-served by telehealth medicine,” Herrera Beutler said. “For folks living in remote and rural communities especially, access to telehealth can make a world of difference to access quick, convenient care. That’s why I’m joining the effort in Congress to ensure folks across Southwest Washington have the ability to access medical services via telehealth if that works best for them.”
