Jaime Herrera Beutler Announces 2016 Congressional Art CompetitionOpen to all Southwest Washington3rd Congressional District high school students- submissions due April 18thCongresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler announced today that her 2016 Congressional Art Competition has kicked off and is now open to high school students across Southwest Washington. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students, grades 9-12, who either reside or attend school in Southwest Washington’s 3rd Congressional District. The winner of the competition will have his or her artwork displayed for one year in Washington, DC’s U.S. Capitol Building Corridor. The winner will also receive free airfare for themselves and one guest to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Washington, DC. The deadline for entering the competition is April 18, 2016. “The Congressional Art Competition is a great tradition that allows us to showcase one of Southwest Washington’s talented young artists in the halls of our nation’s capital,” said Jaime. “I always enjoy this fun contest to celebrate the gifts and creativity of this region’s high school students.” Details:
