Jaime Herrera Beutler announced today that she will host a Southwest Washington Senior Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 5 from 9:00am – 10:30am at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Vancouver.
Jaime Herrera Beutler announced today that she will host a Southwest Washington Senior Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 5 from 9:00am – 10:30am at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Vancouver. The Senior Resource Fair is free and open to any resident of Southwest Washington, and will allow seniors and their families to connect with a variety of useful experts and organizations.
Experts and information will be available regarding mature learning opportunities, starting a business or non-profit, volunteer opportunities, financial planning resources, Social Security and Medicare assistance, the Department of Veterans Affairs and more. An updated list of participating resources will be available in the coming days at jhb.house.gov.
“I want to make it easy for seniors in Southwest Washington to connect with the resources that can help them pursue their goals and enrich their lives,” said Jaime. “As I travel around and talk to people in our region, I regularly learn about services that can help mature residents, whether they are still in the workforce, retired, starting a second career or seeking assistance with their health.
