Jaime Herrera Beutler today announced that 32 Southwest Washington employers have already signed up to participate in her September 28th Jobs Fair in Vancouver. The list to-date of participating employers can be found below, though more employers are expected to participate.
“I’m very encouraged that, despite our sluggish economy, we have seen a good number of employers show interest in hiring people. I want this to be a venue where organizations looking for qualified candidates, whether they have one, five or 50 openings, can give jobs to folks who need them,” said Herrera Beutler. “As I’ve said all along, getting folks to work isn’t done from behind a desk in Washington, DC. It’s our job in Congress to empower the job creating businesses and organizations right here in Southwest Washington – they do the hiring.”
Jaime continues to welcome employers who wish to participate in the event but haven’t yet signed up. Interested employers should contact Pam Peiper in her Vancouver office at (360) 695-6292. The event is free for job seekers and employers. For job seekers, there is no need to RSVP for the event.
